We Are Committed to Our Communities.
As a cooperative, we live out the cooperative principles, including "Concern for Community." We serve in the form of volunteerism, partnerships, donations and other ways that help build and improve our communities. It's about a simple passion for the overarching credit union philosophy of "People Helping People."
In 2017, CCU employees contributed more than 3,000 hours of work and personal time to volunteering for community causes. The credit union encourages and has a regular rotation of employees who assist with Meals on Wheels deliveries and at the Neighborhood Food Pantry.
In addition, employees donated approximately $4,000 of their personal funds through payroll deductions to support various community groups and organizations throughout our membership area.
We make contributions to groups and organizations throughout our membership area. Our credit union's Young Professionals Group also holds regular lunch-ins in which the money raised is donated back to various causes.
Community Events and Partnerships
Our credit union both coordinates and supports events that benefit our community members and groups.
For more than 20 years, CCU has sponsored and supported Jackson County Interfaith Volunteer Caregivers' annual golf event, which raises money for the organization. We also host and sponsor Movie in the Park events every summer that are free for families to enjoy before students head back to school.
