At CCU, youth can open any of our accounts with an adult as a joint owner and enjoy all the same perks. To become a member at Co-op Credit Union, all they need is $5 in a membership share savings account. Let's kick off this money-saving adventure together!


Youth Account Options

Share Savings

By opening a savings account, you become a member-owner at CCU.

  • $5 minimum balance
  • $20 minimum to earn dividends

Super Share Savings

With our tiered super share savings account option, you earn a higher rate when you maintain a higher balance. Achieve your savings goal faster as you grow your savings.

  • $1,000 minimum balance

GoalSetter Savings

With this ‘hands-off’ approach to saving, it’s easy to set your goal, make a plan and save!

  • Withdrawals limited to January, July, November and December only
  • Account maximum of $10,000 to earn GoalSetter Rate

Create a brighter financial future with CCU's Youth Saver Certificate!

Youth under the age of 18 can open a 12-month Youth Saver Certificate with up to $3,000 at 6.00% APY*. 

*Rates are APY (Annual Percentage Yield) and are subject to change at any time. Substantial penalty for early withdrawal. APYs are at the discretion of loan officer or loan committee. Limit one Youth Saver Certificate per member under the age of 18. Minimum deposit of $100. Maximum deposit of $3,000. Once the member turns 18, the certificate will automatically renew into a 12-month share certificate at the current rate on the date of maturity.
