We Are Committed to Our Communities.
As a cooperative, we live out the cooperative principles, including "Concern for Community." We serve in the form of volunteerism, partnerships, donations and other ways that help build and improve our communities. It's about a simple passion for the overarching credit union philosophy of "People Helping People."
Volunteerism
In 2024, CCU employees contributed more than 2,000 hours of work and personal time to volunteering for community causes. The credit union encourages and has a regular rotation of employees who assist with Meals on Wheels deliveries and at the Neighborhood Food Pantry. On Indigenous Peoples' Day, CCU employees volunteer within their communities to rake leaves, make quilts and help local nonprofit organizations.
In addition, employees donated approximately $3,000 of their personal funds through payroll deductions to support various community groups and organizations throughout our membership area.
Community Events and Partnerships
Our credit union both coordinates and supports events that benefit our community members and groups.
For more than 25 years, CCU has sponsored and supported Jackson County Interfaith Volunteer Caregivers' annual golf event, which raises money for the organization. We also host five annual Back 2 School Bashes. These free events are open to all in the community and have inflatables, live music and giveaways. We are also proud supporters of the dairy industry by sponsoring dairy treats throughout the month of June.
